Description: I. 'THE BRITISH ARMY IN SALONIKA. Fresh British troops marching from the base to their camp. The Bay of Salonika in the distance.' LS over earthen road as a column of British troops pass diagonally left to right. Lorries pass in the opposite direction. The men are marching inland away from the scattered buildings of the base - the sea is visible in XLS background.II. 'DEPTFORD'S CURATE V.C. Rev. E. Noel Mellish V.C. receives an ovation as he drives through the streets of Deptford Inspecting the Guard of Honour formed by the Boy Scouts.' HA onto Mellish in open chaise accompanied by police guard of honour. Locals look on - some from the top of a stationary bus - and a crowd follows the procession. Boy Scouts line the roadside as Mellish - now on foot - passes in company with the mayor. The padre talks with a major in the Volunteer Training Force who has been acting as his sword-bearer. Mellish enters council chamber - the steps are lined with Army cadets holding Martini-Henry carbines, and he smiles and lifts his cap to the boys.III. 'GUNS FOR VERDUN. The Governor of Paris inspecting the new artillery at Vincennes. These new guns are to be used in the defence of Verdun.' Horse-drawn 75mm field guns pass in parade order. MS as a battery of 75s is loaded and trained in a park before crowd of spectators.IV. 'THE KING AND QUEEN. Their Majesties with Queen Alexandra and the Royal Family arriving at the Cathedral.' HA.LS as the Royal family dismount from coaches and walk under an elaborate striped awning up the cathedral steps. HA as King George V arrives in an open coach with a mounted escort - he waves to the crowd and dismounts to go inside.
